The weather here is only going to get colder the next few days. Being inside is nice. Remember to fill your birdfeeders today. If possible, heat water for them to drink. Taking care of those who need help is a great idea to turn into action. Share your love.
All New Years have an expectancy vibe within. Realizing that we each make our life what it is may be a very important realization for you. Many will be asked about their New Year’s Resolution. Yes, resolve, decide, act upon, achieve — to do what? I think about keeping my home clean and orderly, running smoothly — it is a business of course, or creating works of art, or sewing and think ahead about the spring flowers and gardening.
But since resolutions are personal, how about loving yourself just the way you are, and if you really love yourself, relationships become more cherished, and maybe the extra weight from holiday celebrations will fall away. Will you love yourself enough to be kind, compassionate, helpful to yourself? Stop judging yourself, be positive in outlook, maybe even forgive yourself. Start with loving who you are now. And one day you will feel the truth in “Today is a beautiful gift of Life. It is always now, today.”
We are wise to tend to our own self before we can be of help to others. It is important to take care of oneself especially if we care for others, children or elderly adults. If you love yourself and your life, you are in a place to help others find this.
May this be a time of love, compassion, tolerance, joy, health and prosperity for you. From my heart to yours.
After many days spent with attention to and intention for healing my physical body from a shoulder problem and an ankle and soft tissue foot problem, which some would say is aging, I am back! Happily so. One thing about all this is while some aspects were challenging — the pain in my shoulder — from over use — was the worst pain in my memory. Blogging, typing, emailing, posting all came to a halt. Life became simpler. So I filled my days with what I could do and was content to ‘not do’ some days.
For those of you that drive, drive, drive to do, to do and to do; it is important to find balance to all the do-ing. Schedule time in your planner for ‘you’ time and treat it as important as the most important thing you do. You will find an inner voice that will finally speak, which is different that your mind’s voice running amuck. It is a quiet voice, non judgmental and loving. May you find it, for when you do, you will find who you really are.
So my wish for you is time to stop do-ing and just be. You will hear birds singing, bees buzzing, the sound of the breeze moving what it touches if you are outside. Just Be. All we really have is the present moment. See it, feel it, let it go. Be in the moment. Feel more alive! Be alive in each moment. Be mindful.
We always have planted the seeds of what we are experiencing in the present. Think back to when you believed in yourself, and you were able to do so much. Or, did you think about yourself with criticism, self doubt, or dislike your body? Where are you now, dealing with weight issues, health issues, relationship issues? What we think about, how we think about ourselves is really important. We are incredibly powerful creatures with the ability to create our experiences and our place in the world. It takes so little time to connect with another person, to smile, to treat them with care and respect. Validate the connection with feelings of love and compassion. One person can change their own world and the world for others. When one is lifted up, all are lifted up. It is the law of the universe.
Live mindfully. Live Lovingly, Live Compassionately, Live with a Grateful Heart!
As the year approaches a close and a new chance to start afresh is ever clearer, find the time to ponder your contribution to an increasingly peaceful, kinder, empathetic self. Look deep inside and see your worth, your beauty, your astonishing knowledge of how we are all connected, and as one is raised in divine vibration, all are affected. Take the time to meditate in prayer to find your way to help make this world a far better place than it is today. Peace be with you, Peace be with you, Peace be with you. It is so, It is so, It is so.
Ever wake up in the middle of the ‘night’ with creative thoughts filling your head? Happened to me this morning — it would be a good idea to have a pad of paper and drawing tool of choice nearby. Use these to capture those moments of inspiration before falling back to sleep and risk loosing those images or word thoughts or themes. It is a bit more difficult to do this if you have a partner who is disagreeable to having a light pop on so you can make needed notations, like my situation, so I got up!
When I was single, I would write and draw, then fall back asleep. Don’t get me wrong, I love my partner in life, and I work to find ways to remember what I dream without waking him. I tell myself to “remember this in the morning” and what usually happens is the sub-conscious mind does this work while I sleep. Upon awaking, I remember it!
Give it a try, and remember the sub-conscious mind does not comprehend negative comments. Have you ever reminded yourself to not forget your keys? And you forgot your keys? Your subconscious mind heard “forget your keys”. It pays to be aware of what we actually say to ourselves. We can help our artistic endeavors or hinder them depending on what we give our mind to work on.
This morning was different. My thoughts got me up. Sometimes creativity does not sleep!
